We are dedicated to sourcing and cooking real food and we support producers who farm, grow, harvest and fish using sustainable and responsible methods.
It is easier now than ever before to overlook domestically farmed produces in favour of the cheaper imported alternative. This fixation with price over quality has lead to a rise in obesity and killer diseases such as heart disease and has a total disregard for ethical trading. We do things a little differently...
Our butchers, who have built solid working relationships with British producers and farmers, source all of our meat personally. Our fishmongers equally share close relationships with all of their suppliers, many of whom are local fishermen. We believe that understanding the value of what we eat comes from building these relationships and appreciating that the craftsmanship and tradition practiced by our suppliers is what leads to food rich in taste and texture.
We extend the same principals to sourcing abroad, always conscious of the effects that our trade has on local communities.
Above all, everything we sell is tasted and tested. Food should be celebrated and we believe that no one should have to settle for degraded, tasteless substitutes.
